Montana does so many things well when it comes to providing access to private land for recreational pursuits, especially for hunting & fishing. Not every program established don't fits some operation or owner's management practices for their property, however.
The Montana Access Program is designed to help landowners and hunters build life-long relationships through mutual respect while also providing the skills to hunters necessary for a successful hunt as well as the skills needed to be a valuable asset to a landowner's operation.
The Montana Access Project's Enhanced Hunter Education course is a 1-2 day course that is free to the public. The course focuses on ethics, the role of private land in conservation and marksmanship. We are still building this program, so stay tuned for updates as we unveil new classes and hunting opportunities.
Our team is made up of long-time hunters with significant backgrounds in wildlife management, law enforcement, and public land management. Led by experienced wildlife managers and former law enforcement officers, the MAP Team is well suited to helping both adult onset hunters and children become better hunters .
